08. April 2012 · Comments Off on The Top 5 Hints For The Beginner Blogger · Categories: Make Money

I have been blogging for years now. It started as a hobby and has grown from there. I teach blogging classes now for Mastermind Pros. Blogging is a great hobby and it can also be used as a way to start your identity on the World Wide Web. Blogging is much easier to start than a web page, and it is a lot easier to maintain then a web site. There are quality Free Blog Hosts available, so there is really no reason not to get started today. Here are my top 5 hints if you are just beginning as a blogger. Always Start With a Free Blog I recommend Word Press or Blogger for the best places to get started in blogging. They both are easy to set up and use. Blogger might have better and easier to get help. However Word Press keeps adding more advanced features and does have a pay feature for more upgrades. With each Word Press account you can have more than one blog, and Blogger does offer the same feature, too. For this article I am just going to focus on Word Press. The reason for this is because most of the blogging information I have found out there for free chooses to focus on Word Press, and as you grow in your blogging experience you will most likely end up with a Word Press blog. Think of a GREAT Name for Your Blog If you are starting with Word Press, you will want to register an account, but for each blog you want to have a creative name that you choose for you blog. For example if you were writing a blog about being a teacher you might want to see if you can get a name for your blog that has teacher “style” keywords for the title. Another example might be My Life In Room 5 for your main title. You can change the title of your blog at any time that you want so if next year you were moved to room 22, you can just edit your title, but to choose your URL it would be different. Picking the URL The URL is simply defined as the Universal Resource Locator. An Internet World Wide Web Address. When you choose a URL for your free Word Press Blog it is shown as: name.wordpress.com. You would substitute your name for your blog where “name” is. Your “name” can be one word or a combination of words with no spaces between them. Several of the good names are already taken but with imagination and patience you can find a suitable name. Maybe choose your own name, for example. mastermindpros.wordpress.com I was able to get this blog just now. Remember that the URL title you pick is permanent unless you choose to delete it. You can delete free blogs at any time. Make a Commitment to Post Often Most people start blogging because they have something to say! Some people start them for other reasons but having been a Blogger for several years now and a visitor to several blogs, I still feel the majority of blogs out there are started by people who enjoy writing and have something to say, even if it is just commenting on news articles or sharing their poetry.

Some people enjoy ranting. Have you visited other people’s blogs before? Go to any search engine and type in the name of something you are interested in like: Johnny Depp Blogs and see what shows up. I got over 276,000 results for that search on Google. So you can find people with the same interests as yours. You can read what they have to say then go comment on their blog and write about it on your blog. You can ask people with similar interests to share on your blog, too. Do Not Delete Your Blog Maybe you have started your blog and you hate it. Well think once, twice, three times and more about whether or not you want to keep or delete your blog. Why do I suggest keeping your blog? The main reason I suggest this is because you are starting your presence on the internet. That might not mean much to you if you are new, but it might mean more in months or years to come. Your blog is real estate in the World Wide Web Land. Real Estate here can become valuable, too. You can become valuable as you grow your property (your blog). Blogging is a fun hobby, but you never know what the future is going to hold for you or where you hobby might lead you. Especially if you are building your blog over time, and you are following some of the steps I mentioned in #4 above. People on the internet and bloggers are usually a friendly group. We love to have comments on our blogs. We usually respond to them. It is a special present to us when someone takes the time to make a comment. We love suggestions and people sharing what they are doing, too. The only thing that most bloggers hate is SPAM! That is where people post only to sell something or lead people to websites that they might not want to go to. Don’t fear that though since Word Press has powerful filters now and you get to approve what people can say on their comments. You will find that Blogging is a lot of fun! If you can send emails you can blog. It is very easy to start up a blog using Word Press or Blogger. If you have been thinking about starting a blog and have not done so yet, my advice is to get started. It is a great free hobby and you never know where it might lead you. Share your interests with the world. There are thousands of readers out there searching for information. Perhaps they will find you. I hope you will enjoy your blogging experience as much as I enjoy blogging and reading blogs, too.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on You Can Find A Stay At Home Business That Suits You With Three Simple Questions · Categories: Make Money

The ability to stay at home is increasing rapidly as new opportunities appear constantly with positions from sales representative opportunities to customer service and more. Finding the stay at home career that suits you can be as easy as asking yourself three simple questions. What do I truly enjoy doing? What amount of money or what is my budget for this business? What resources and tools do I have at hand that can be applied toward the business? Asking these three questions will allow you to narrow down which field or areas of home business would best suit your interests as well as your personal needs.

Job Enjoyment If you do not enjoy the job field you are in, over time you will begin to regret your job choice. It will become displeasure to go to work each day. The dissatisfaction of your job will lead to a decline in attitude and personal happiness, which can affect your relationships with family and friends as well as co-workers. Your job performance will also lack due to this feeling of dissatisfaction. Allowing yourself to understand what areas of work or business you enjoy will allow you to enter a job position knowing that this is a career you can perform every day and it will not lead to total dissatisfaction. There are always days where we do not feel like going to work even if we are in a dream job, but an enjoyable position is a must for job longevity. Business Budget and Income Levels When entering into a home business you have to take the necessary time required to thoroughly study your budget and income needs. You need to have enough savings to live within the means required to pay your bills, purchase personal items such as food and any other needed items for a minimum of three months. This allows enough time for your business to become established and to provide a flow of income. You also have to understand the required amount of funds needed to begin your business. What is the cost of materials, advertising, web hosting and so on? You want to provide an adequate amount of funding for each area of your business thus allowing a sturdy base for your business to be built upon. The majority of home businesses fail within the first year often due to lack of budgeting. Resources and Tools You also have to take the time to consider what tools or resources that you may possibly already have on hand. Consider computers, Internet access and a home phone line. These items are generally already on hand and in use daily. With these three tools you can begin the home businesses building process. Once you have the answer to each of these questions you will be able to make the most knowledgeable choice for your home business. This will allow you to begin your business by putting your best foot forward on solid ground. Taking the necessary time to prepare for your stay at home job will ensure that your business will thrive and succeed.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on What Type Of Home Based Business Will You Choose? · Categories: Reasons To Bless The Internet

Many people dream of having a financially secure future that they control.

There are many keys that will determine if you are able to find this type of destiny for yourself or not. Some of the things that you need to consider whenever you are choosing what kind of business opportunity to get into are, will your business be online or off-line, how much time will this business take to start, run and maintain and, of course, how much startup cost is involved. Finding the correct home based business that will fit into your lifestyle is critical if you are going to be successful with it. There is no reason to start a busines that is not a fit with your lifestyle and experience. The first thing that you need to consider is if you are going to have an online business or an off-line business. For many years, people that have an entrepreneur spirit and have wanted to work on their own in order to build financial wealth, have looked to brick and mortar businesses. Within the past 10 years or so, however, a major shift has taken place in which the Internet has provided a quick and easy way for people to set up shop online. Although brick and mortar businesses will always have their places, online businesses are certainly the wave of the future. Online businesses offer both a low startup cost and low risk so you can certainly test the waters and know if an online business is right for you quickly. This gives you a chance to see if this is a business that you can be sucessful at and also enjoy without investing all of your money in one place. The next thing that you have to consider is how much time your new business is going to take you to start up, run and maintain. There is certainly a lot of variety as far as these three factors are concerned in any good business. Most people, however, simply do not have the time and resources necessary to be able to start a business while still maintaining the lifestyle that they are now enjoying. For that reason, a turnkey business is an absolute must for people that are simply too busy to be able to start a business that will take them hours upon hours to start and maintain. There are certainly plenty of these types of turnkey businesses online that offer you the opportunity to be able to start and run your business with minimal time investment, until you are able to devote yourself fully to it. The final thing that should be considered is the cost that is involved in starting up a business. Traditional brick and mortar businesses require a huge investment of both time and money. The Internet provides you with the opportunity to test businesses and to become successful with a minimal amount of time and money spent. Not only that, the audience that you will be reaching online far outnumbers those that you can reach by setting up shop in your local community.

That is why many people have turned to online businesses to help them to gain success quickly when entering the entrepreneurial marketplace.

Blogging is one of the most cost-effective ways to earn money through the Internet, if not the most. How can you exactly make money at home through weblogs? Read and find out.

If you are an online user for some time now, you must know what blogging is all about. If you are web savvy, you may be maintaining one yourself. If you have a blog that receives excellent traffic, you can potentially be rewarded of your efforts. In fact, many people have created their own blogs in hopes to make money at home through their little nook on the web. If you have not created a blog of your own, it is not too late to blog your way to profits. How exactly can you make money at home through a blog? There are several programs available to enable you to earn from blogging. Here are some of the most popular ones: Affiliate revenue Most bloggers who make money at home sign up for affiliate marketing campaigns offered by thousands of online merchants. These merchants are willing to pay you commissions or referral fees from clicks originating from your site. For best results, try to choose a good merchant and ads which suit your site best in terms of content and aesthetics. Advertising programs There are now a wide variety of advertising programs available to bloggers. The most common method to make money at home through blog advertising is through Google AdSense, which is based on contextual ads. Other programs such as TextLinkAds, Chitika eMiniMalls, AdGenta and BlogAds are more recent additions. Note though that exclusive sites such as BlogAds only allow placement of ads on high traffic blogs. If you have only recently started your blog, you may need to be part of a rather long waiting list to be included in some programs.

Digital Assets Digital assets such as eBooks, tele-seminars and online courses are now getting incorporating in blogs.

If you want to increase your chances to make money at home, consider coming up with some digital assets to support your blog. You have the option to provide them for free in hopes of generating traffic into your site, or you can sell them for certain fees to add to your blog income. Blog sponsorship Another fairly recent strategy to make money at home through blogs is getting sponsored by a company. Note though that company sponsorship generally involve blogs which are focused mostly on the company’s products and services. While some companies request contents to be solely for their own advertising efforts, some sponsors suffice themselves with addition of the company’s name or logo to the blog page. Again, companies mostly sponsor high-traffic blogs. Tip jars or donations Many bloggers who want to make money at home resort to the idea of putting tip jars on their page sidebars. These allows donation that leads to the blogger’s PayPal account. Though donation buttons are not recommended for every blog owner, this is generally not a bad idea. In fact, if you have a social cause or if you provide service that deserves goodwill donations, you can put one. Blog merchandise Another excellent way to make money at home through blogs is to sell items and branded products through merchandising programs such as Cafepress. This will generate you some percentage for sales you refer. If you have only created your blog, you should expect the road to blogging success to be long and hard. It will take time to attract traffic into your site. However, putting up relevant and fresh content, and exerting effort will slowly lead you to a profitable blog site.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on The Lowdown On Finding The Perfect Keywords · Categories: Reasons To Bless The Internet

Whenever I teach a class on Internet marketing, it’s inevitable that the term «keyword» comes up. Keywords tend to confuse people, mostly because there are numerous ways of figuring them out; not all of them are correct. Let me explain. When we think of keywords related to our topic, we often go to «root» keywords or, in layman’s terms: the first word that pops into our mind.

For example, if someone were to say: «Give me a keyword for books» you might say: «publishing.

» That’s a root keyword. It may seem like the right word to you, but it may not be a word that your reader or customer is searching on. Therein lies the key. You want to find relevant keywords in your market that people are actually searching for. Another example of this is the word: auto loan. If you’ve written a book on saving money you may think that drawing attention to your chapter on getting the best auto loan is a great idea. But what if your consumer searches on the term: car loan instead? Your keyword (auto loan) will go unnoticed. There are some commonalities in keywords; for example, the best keywords have a strong relevance to your topic and a high search volume. What this means is that as you’re trying to get away from ‘root’ words, you don’t want to get uber-creative and use words no one is searching on. The other piece to remember is the age-old marketing term: supply and demand. Whatever your search term you want to make sure that there’s a lot of demand, but very little supply. If you’re ready to start your search, here are a few sites that should help you. The first is the Google Adwords keyword search tool. What this tool will show you is a general overview of how popular a word is vs. how much supply there is for this word. While this site doesn’t give you actual search numbers, it’s a pretty thorough overview of search patters: adwords dot google dot com. The second is a version of Overture (more on that in a minute) that will show you how many searches have happened across Yahoo and MSN for a particular search term in the last 30 days: yooter dot com/keyword/overture.php Finally we have Overture. While this site will give you actual data, the numbers they give you aren’t updated daily, in fact they’re not even updated monthly.

Some of the stats you see will be three or more months old. But data is data and unless you’re sitting in a market that has heavy fluctuation, this should give you a good start: inventory dot overture dot com. Now that you’ve zeroed in on your perfect keywords, where will you use them? Well, adding them to your web site copy is a great idea but the ideal place to use these is in your press release. Why? Because it’s likely that you’re sending your press release out online (if you’re not, you should be) and with all the clutter on the ‘Net you’ll need these keywords to get noticed. Here’s a quick rundown of where and how you should use them:

• Use these words in the headline and first 50 words of your release

• Keep your release to no more than 600 words

• Use keywords for hyperlinking: what I mean by this is that anytime you link to a page on your site or some other external reference, you’ll want to use these keywords to help increase exposure to your press release. In order to maximize what you’re doing online, you’ve got to become very focused on your market and what your market wants. Figuring out the keywords and search terms your readers/consumers use will go a long way helping your message rise above the noise!

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Work At Home Scams To Avoid · Categories: Reasons To Bless The Internet

Just as there are great opportunities to work at home, there are also work from home scams that you need to avoid. The Internet has given way to a wide variety of opportunities, which include the chance of being able to work at home and earn good pay.

However, the Internet has also given way to a lot of opportunities to dishonest people and fraudulent companies.

There are now a lot of work at home scams, in particular, so you need to be more careful when choosing which ones to work on. The key to avoiding work at home scams is to recognize them right away even before considering joining in. Be very wary of those that offer you easy money, with ads telling you that you can earn thousands of dollars a month working part time in the comfort of your very own home. If the site promises this much but are hazy in providing details of the nature of the job they are offering, then start getting suspicious. If it sounds way too good to be true, then it probably is, right? One of the most important rules you need to follow if you want to maximize profits online is to steer clear of pyramid work at home scheme. There are so many forms out there right now, and a good number of them are disguised in one form or another. There are those that may actually work, but the chances that you may not be able to recover your invested cash are very high. Another potential work at home scams are those businesses that require you to recruit others first before you can start earning. Legitimate work at home opportunities must be focused more on the advertising and actual selling of products and services, and definitely not on recruiting others to follow suit. Some of the most common work at home scams are as follows:

• Envelope stuffing. This is not as simple as stuffing envelopes. They will usually ask you to do something more such as placing the ad in newspapers and magazines.

• Craft work or assembly. You will need to pay a lot of many for your equipment and materials. Some even require you to buy sewing machines, only to find out that the company never really buy your assembled craft as they are sub-standard in their eyes.

• Computer work requiring sign-up fees. These generally gets you some good to nothing guide with the most generic information on running a online business and list of companies you can contact to get started. These contacts are usually either not interested or pay too little to be worth your time.

• Medical billing. You are usually required to pay thousands of dollars to invest in software, in training and for technical support. You buy these without the assurance of getting any clients at the end of the day. Work at home scams are simply intent at taking your money without actually leaving you a job to do or any return of investment. Remember that legitimate business opportunities, be they work at home or otherwise, will not require you to pay unreasonable fees just to get more information. More so, genuine companies will not resort to pressuring tactics to force you to work with them. Make sure that you use your intuition and follow what your instincts tell you.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Plans For A Home Business Should Be Kept Simple · Categories: Reasons To Bless The Internet

Businesses can carry complications within the internal workings. Because of this you should keep plans for a home business as simple as possible. Choose a business that is not overly complex. Choosing a business area that you already have knowledge or skills in. Taking a hobby or past time and creating a home business from that is one easy way to begin on the path to a simple home business. An example of this is a person who knits, can knit hats, gloves, scarves and so on and sell those items for a profit. Likely this person already has materials, tools and other business needs on hand. This is keeping your home business simple and easy. On Hand Equipment As in the example above you should try to use tools and other items that you already have on hand. Computers, phone lines, copiers, fax machines, sewing machines, childcare equipment and so on. Take a look around your home for inspiration. In the time that it takes for you to do a walk through of your home you may find this is all of the time it will take to know which direction you will go to pursue your home business. By doing so you are already calculating what items you need to buy and how much funding it may require to do so. Completing two tasks at one time is keeping business simple. Prepared Workspace Using a workspace that is readily available for you to begin working in is another way to keep your home business easy. A home office can be used for data entry positions or accounting services. A basement or garage can be used to perform woodworking or pottery sculpting. Your living room can be used to relaxingly knit clothing or your sewing room for quilting sellable items. Using a space that is already prepared for your business can shave off preparation time and save money as well. Recap On Guides To Keeping Home Business Simple  Use skills, hobbies and personal knowledge to begin your business planning around.

Use tool, resources and equipment that are already in your possession to apply towards your business.  Use a workspace that is already suited to your business needs, such as a home office, garage or basement. Overall Reasoning Behind Simple Planning Using any and everything that you already have is the best way to keep a home business simple. There are already areas of concern such as finances, marketing and advertising that you will be spending time and effort to correct. This allows you to focus on the areas that truly need it instead of focusing on every little area of concern that pops up. This also allows you to keep time open for personal time. In order to allow you the best possible chance for success while you tend to be busy with business issues than you do not get to enjoy the work at home experience. You can even keep in mind an acronym of the word easy. E-every, A-available, s-resource, Y-you have.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Leap Experiences · Categories: Make Money

The term leap experience was first coined back in the early 1990s to describe the rapid learning curve that can be achieved by placing a high talent individual into a targeted work assignment. Such a work assignment would be designed to take them out of their comfort zone and beyond their current level of competence. If they succeed in this stretched and challenging environment the learning is rapid and powerful. The essence of a leap experience is that of throwing the learner in at the deep end which in itself must be regarded as a high risk learning strategy. Would you be comfortable expecting a new driver to learn simply by getting behind the wheel and working out how to drive by trial and error? The risk of course is that they will fail by crashing the vehicle. However, it is also true that a new driver will only become competent by practicing the art of driving. The compromise solution in the case of learning to drive a car is to have a theory test, a hazard perception test and then to allow the learner to practice under the supervision of an experienced driver and/or a qualified driving instructor. Once they have had sufficient practice and guidance, the new driver will be ready to take and hopefully pass a driving test. Will they be a competent driver as soon as they have passed their driving test? Unlikely! A new driver will need to practice for many more hours before they would be regarded as competent. In fact, many people would claim that one only learns how to drive after passing one’s driving test. Consider driving on motorways, driving in poor weather conditions, anticipating the misdemeanors of other drivers, using a multi-storey car park and so on. These are all mini forms of leap experiences. If the driver has a basic talent for driving, exposure to the relevant driving scenario is likely to give rise to a rapid learning experience.

And so it is with just about any form of learning, although practice makes perfect is somewhat inaccurate. Conveniently, the word LEAP can be broken down into an acronym to pinpoint the process that encompasses experiential learning – Learn, Experience, Apply, Perform. The LEARN element involves providing the individual with the underpinning knowledge and developing or transferring the relevant skills. It is here where one ensures the individual has the appropriate level of talent before exposing them to a leap experience. During the EXPERIENCE stage we are concerned with providing opportunities for practice. This can either be in safe, supervised or simulated situations or the higher risk option of live and unsupervised practice. The APPLY stage is an extension of this practice into a wider variety of practical situations, ideally unsupervised. While the lack of supervision at this stage represents a risk, it is likely to be less of an issue if there were a degree of coaching involved at the previous stage. PERFORM is the end result of a successful learning experience. The individual is able to perform at a competent level, without supervision. There are of course variations on the theme but essentially LEAP is how people learn best. This provides the foundation and the inspiration behind how we operate at the Experiential Learning Centre. We look to address the knowledge component either in advance of a training course or during the early stages of the programme. The majority of the time is spent on exposing delegates to carefully designed simulations and activities, often with the additional benefit of expert coaching interventions. Towards the end of each training course we then focus their minds on opportunities to apply what has been learned back in the workplace. On returning to work they are able to practice with minimal supervision in order to become a competent performer. Intuitively, most people would accept that leap experiences and the underpinning LEAP methodology is the right way for people to learn. The problem is for managers to have the time and skill to be able to create the right leap experiences for their staff without risking current performance. Sending a staff member on a training course is often the preferred option but this presents the challenge of transferring what has been learned in the classroom into the workplace.

If the manager has the time and the skills to do so, coaching the staff member upon their return to work is an excellent option. Where time and/or coaching skill is lacking, an experiential training programme provides an excellent alternative. I would go so far as to suggest that a well designed and run experiential training course provides a safe leap experience. That is, the reward of rapid, applied learning without the risks attached to learning in a live work environment.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on What’s The Deal With Web Directories · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

They were the next great thing.

People were spending thousands of dollars a month on promoting the business, general, and niche web directories.

Then suddenly Google, and probably other search engines, wielded their might and changed the entire scenario. For the directory owner who was primarily interested in selling link subscriptions, this would come as a death knell. But, in the long run, this is a good thing and the best directories will actually emerge stronger, some day. Let us try to understand this. On the one hand is the directory owner who thinks of his site as a web resource. This person will develop unique content, arrange for intuitive navigation, create customized and relevant category structure, offer multiple and well thought out payment options and plans. On the other hand is the fly by night owner who will take a basic script and make a little noise and get paid entries and then just let the site languish. In the heydays of web directories, one of the interesting by-products was that the biggest customers of free / featured / reciprocal / permanent / etc entries were actually your competitors. So, what you had to do was make a directory, make some noise on some popular webmaster forums, and then have all your competitors rush and buy listings. And once that gravy train reached its station, you start all over again. As in the case of any gold rush, many participants actually innocently start getting fooled by fool’s gold. They somehow start thinking that there is serious merit in buying a listing for four figures in a bid based directory site. If one acknowledges that the sole purpose of a directory entry is to get link juice out of it, then the party is clearly over. With major search engines targeting paid links, it is tough to gain much link benefit. Certainly not four figures worth. But I am unwilling to acknowledge that there is nothing other than link juice to be gained from a listing.

I know for a fact that many of my websites gain as much as 2-5% of their traffic from listings in directories. For tiny sites this might not amount to much. But when you are a serious webmaster, this makes all the difference. Then come to think of it, these sites that are sending me traffic account for less than 1% of the total number of similar sites that have listed me, one way or another. Voila! We just found El Dorado. The secret is that only the best of directories will survive. But that one will certainly survive. And is that not what we want? I think that the fact that such web resources are now forced to look at monetizing opportunities other than the sale of listings is also a positive sign. That means that some of them might actually see submissions as a way to enhance the editorial and content quality of their sites. Clearly once again a very positive sign for the industry as a whole, if I can call it an industry.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Top 10 Low Cost Business Franchises · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Starting a business often means making large capital investments, especially in the very beginning. In fact, many financial advisors recommend that you plan on losing some money as you get started. However, before you dismiss yourself as not having enough money to get going, keep in mind that not all ventures are so financially draining. What so many aspiring businessmen and women do not know is that franchising dramatically reduces the financial risks associated with building a new company. Furthermore, some of the most lucrative opportunities are low cost business franchises. They require very little start-up capital, few or no employees and most all of them are home businesses. This may sound too good to be true, but fortunately, there are real opportunities for people like you who are genuinely interested in starting a business. Best of all, there are several different businesses from which to choose. Here are ten of the most popular low cost franchises in the market today. #1. Berkeley Brewer One of the most important things to franchisees as they build their businesses is minimized risk. That’s why so many of them choose franchising over starting from scratch. Berkeley Brewer, a personal tailoring company, is a terrific example of how a franchise can significantly decrease the risk. This company is so dedicated to your success that it will refund your franchise fee if you do not see a return on investment within 12 months. Moreover, this business is easy to manage, which means you don’t have to quit your regular job until your new venture becomes so busy that you have no other choice. The reassurance with a franchise like this is that you do not have to risk everything – your money and your current means of making money – to change careers. #2. CityLocal Many entrepreneurs start their own businesses because they grow tired of simply doing a job.

They want to be part of something groundbreaking. They have an intrinsic desire to make a difference. If this sounds like you, a franchise opportunity with CityLocal should be on your list of franchises to consider. This web-based home business focuses on the economic growth of cities throughout the UK and Ireland. Not only do you have a chance to be part of a profitable, high-traffic website, you also have the satisfaction of making a difference in your community. By offering both free and paid advertising, you keep members of the community abreast with local news and events. At the same time, local businesses have a means of promoting their products and services on your site. #3. FirstWills Transitioning from one career to another can be especially challenging when you’re not sure how much money will be coming in and how often. This is certainly true when it comes to starting a new business. As mentioned, many new entrepreneurs actually lose revenue faster than they can generate it. Nevertheless, one of the best aspects of FirstWills is your ability to earn money in a matter of days. All you have to do is meet with individuals who are ready to write their wills. Then, you write down their instructions and pass the information on to the franchise. You never actually write the will; instead, FirstWills does this for you. And, you make money with each sale you generate. #4. Brazilian Soccer Schools Countless businessmen and women had to take the hard route to building their companies. So many people enter the business world with the mindset that you have to dive in headfirst, quit your job, invest everything you have and hope that it all works out. Fortunately, this is not the only way. Brazilian Soccer Schools, for example, is a franchise business for sale that allows its newcomers to keep their existing jobs for the first year. This means that you can go through the coaching and business training with your mind focused where it should be – on what you’re learning rather than how much money you wish you were already making. Plus, it gives you time to launch and promote your business whilst you continue to meet current financial obligations. #5. Little Angels Children’s Photography Many new mums must weigh the cost of childcare when deciding whether to return to the workforce. For many of them, the costs of daycare take a large portion of their earnings, which leads them to wonder if going back to work is really worthwhile.

After all, not only are they losing a significant amount of their earnings just to childcare costs, they also miss the opportunity to be with their children each day. If this sounds like your dilemma, you have to determine whether it’s truly worth the money you’re actually bringing home. Still, chances are that you can not afford not to contribute financially. This is where a work from home business opportunity like Little Angels can be very beneficial to mums like you. As a photographer for this company, you will work only four or five days a week for about four hours per day. This means you can take your children to school and be finished in time to pick them up. Most of all, no experience is required. All the training you will need is provided by the franchise. Of course, all franchisees are female because women are generally preferred by preschool aged children. #6. Aura Roboclean There are two ways to make money with this sophisticated cleaning franchise. First, you offer mattress, upholstery and carpet cleaning to hotels, nurseries, nursing homes, offices and other businesses. Nonetheless, this is not your average cleaning company. Aura Roboclean uses only environmentally friendly machines, protecting the earth and dramatically reducing allergens. People are paying more and more attention to the environment, on a global scope in addition to their immediate surroundings. As you can imagine, this market is expected to treble within the next five years. And, last but not least, you can even sell the equipment to those who are interested.

This just increases your chances of profiting from this innovative business opportunity.

Most importantly, you can become a franchisee with a very low investment. #7. Charisnack Just as people are striving to live in a better environment, they also want healthier bodies. As a Charisnack business franchise, you will offer healthy snacks and smoothies to people in the workplace. All you have to do is leave the products with your clients and pick up the cash at appropriate intervals. Furthermore, Charisnack is another franchise that gives you the opportunity to make a real difference. This is true because the company donates a portion of its sales to benefit the National Blind Children’s Society. You don’t have to make the donation. Just being part of this organization means your efforts will translate to help for others in need. #8. UK Websaver Once again, here is another great home-based business prospect. UK Websaver is a company that markets membership loyalty cards. This is a great product because consumers are always looking for ways to save money; meanwhile, businesses are constantly seeking new ways to promote their products and services. Additionally, this low cost opportunity demands only a limited amount of stock. Working out of your home means that you’re somewhat restricted when it comes to space, but the tiny plastic cards won’t crowd your home office or break your bank. #9. Molly Maid Not everyone will realize the benefits of running a business from home. In contrast, most people work at least eight hours each day. They don’t have the flexible schedule you’ll have as an entrepreneur, which means they will have to hire others to do work around their homes. After working all day, who wants to spend evenings and weekends on housework? This is a tremendous marketing opportunity for you as a Molly Maid franchisee.

For a minimal capital investment, you will become part of the UK’s most recognizable cleaning companies. Rather than building from the ground up, starting a franchise with outstanding name recognition puts you one giant step ahead of your competition. In truth, a well-established brand name is one of the most valuable assets a franchise business has to offer.
#10. Baby Prints If you’re a parent, you are already keenly aware of how quickly children grow. And, you also know that parents are always looking for creative ways to capture precious moments with their little ones. The Baby Prints franchise has found a way to make this desire very profitable for you. If you decide to invest in one of their franchises, you will make impressions of every cherished dimple in baby’s hands and feet. Parents adore this keepsake; at the same time, you get the chance to run a home business. All the independence and flexibility you can expect when running your own company is available to you. And, the most important part is that Baby Prints is one of the low cost business franchises that comes with exclusive sales territory. Not only will you sell a unique product, you won’t have to worry about competition from other franchises.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Setting Up Your Home Business Goals · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Setting up goals for your home business is very important to your home business.

Why? You have to have something to aim for in order to help you along your journey in building a successful home business.

Home business goals will help you out greatly in building a successful home business for yourself. Many people start a home business with only one goal in mind and that goal is to become rich. Becoming rich is not a bad thing but you need to have more specific goals than just becoming rich in order to succeed. Your goals need to be detailed and specific as to what you want, when you want it, and how you are going to get it. All 3 of these different points will help you reach your goals. Once you have your goals written down and memorized you then must repeat them with full belief and faith that you will reach your goals. First you have to know what you want. One reason many people fail to succeed in life is because they have no clue what they want in life. So they end up settling for anything that comes there way. This goes for pretty much anything you desire in life, be it a husband or wife, a job, or anything else. You must know what you want and you must be detailed in describing what you want. For instance let’s say you want a new car. Just wanting a new car is not enough. You must know the model, the year, the color, the color of the seats. The more detailed you are, the better. Or let’s say you want to earn a stable cashflow with your home business. Well how much money would be enough to quit your job? How much do you need to live the life you always wanted? If it’s 10,000 a month then your goal would be to earn 10,000 a month through your home business. Next you need to setup a date when you want to reach your goal. The key when setting up a date for yourself is to be realistic but to also pick a date which will give you a sense of urgency as well.

Next you need a plan to get you to your goals. In this case your home business is the vehicle which will guide you to your goals. Now you need to setup a plan on how you will make your home business a success. A marketing plan will help. Are you going to advertise your home business offline or online? Or both? What types of media are you going to use to advertise your home business? These are just a few of the questions you will need to ask yourself when creating a plan to help you reach your goals. Once you have gone through all 3 steps write it all down. For example » I will earn 10,000 a month by Jan, 1 2008 and I will earn this money by building my home business». After you have a statement written repeat your statement to yourself daily and you should be well on your way to achieving home business success.

The internet gives you access to the entire world when it comes to selling goods or services. This is because millions of people go online every single day in search of things they need. However, you need to understand from the very start that online commerce is a saturated market. You will find plenty of competition so you have to continually be creative and keep up on consumer buying trends.

What is it that you are going to market? Think about your hobbies and your skills. You may decide to offer products you have created yourself. Sometimes this is the result of buying a particular product yourself and then thinking of a way to make it better. You can sell your knowledge as well. Informational books that people access online are very popular. Selling products for other people is definitely a possibility as well. You don’t have the overhead associated with starting up your own product. With most affiliate programs you don’t even have to take care of the shipping. You will need to be creative with your marketing techniques though. It is very possible to have a successful online business without a tangible product. Services are extremely popular. For example you can offer your services to create a website for others or to represent their advertising efforts for them. Any type of service like that can make a wonderful online business. Once you have identified your products or services to sale, you need to focus on getting the information out there. You can have the very best to offer but if the millions of people on the internet can’t find it or don’t know about it, you are out of luck. Narrow down your target market. Make it as specific as you possibly can. Next you will need to work on your marketing strategies. Think like the consumers you want to reach. Where will they be looking for information. There are numerous types of marketing techniques you can use for your online business.

It is a good idea to incorporate several of them. This way you can get steady streams of customers from all angles. Work hard to build quality relationships with your customers. This involves offering them valuable information instead of just trying to make sales all the time. Offer them interesting articles, newsletters, and be willing to answer their questions. The quality of your customer service will determine part of your business success. Never underestimate the value of this aspect. It should always be a top priority no matter what type of online business you offer.

It is possible to have a very successful online business.

There is less investment of money because you don’t need a building to work from.

Many online businesses are ran from a person’s home. Take your time to find out what unmet needs exist and then reach the market that will be looking for it. Always be honest when it comes to the information you offer to your customers. It will help them to become lifelong customers that make additional purchases and recommend your business to others.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on The Ultimate Guide To Starting A Home Based Businesses · Categories: Reasons To Bless The Internet

Are you dissatisfied with your current job? Maybe you don’t like the salary you are getting… being forced to work long hours with little monetary compensation.

Or, maybe it’s the environment itself, since many Corporate offices may have a dog-eat-dog mentality. Maybe you are saddened because you are missing out on your baby’s ‘firsts’. Whatever the problem is, you can change your destiny by starting a home based business. If you don’t know where to start when it comes to creating a home based business, read on as this article will explain how. The first thing you need to do to establish a home based business is to think about what your credentials and how you are going to use them to make money. If you type fast and have excellent word processing skills, you can start a data entry/word processing business. If you’re good with children you can open a daycare. If you are talented in the area of writing you can write articles and books for a living. The possibilities for what you can do through your home based business are endless once you start the process of brainstorming. Next, you will need to establish the legal presence of your home based business. The best way to do this is to get a business license and a trade name. You can do both through your local court system. If you want the specific websites for your state, you can research the Small Business Administration. Once you have done these things, you may want to consider branching out as a limited liability company or a corporation. By doing so you are allowing tax advantages for your home based business. Now, you will need to advertise your home based business. You can start by building a website.

Companies like Geocities allow you to make websites for home based businesses for free.

However, you will want to at least pay for your domain name, since most free websites have long, complicated URLs that people will not be able to easily remember. If you want you can make some extra money on the side by selling advertising space on your website and/or joining affiliate programs. This is a great income stream you can have in addition to whatever is generated from your home based business. Once the website for your home based business is up, you can begin advertising in various venues. Free advertising can be done by submitting your site to search engines, passing out flyers, writing articles to free article directories, writing press releases and networking through friends and family. Paid advertising can be done through pay-per-click programs such as Adwords, direct mail campaigns, newspapers and cable television. In conclusion, the process of starting a home based business is not really that hard. The only real difficult you will have in determining what you’re going to do and how you’re going to get clients. Once you have addressed these issues, eventually your home based business will become successful enough that you will never again have to worry about the drudgery of a 9-to-5 job.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on The Secret To Home Business Success · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Many people have tried to succeed in the home based business world and indeed in terms of the successes or failures of different people, there are three general categories that can be used.

Firstly, there are the people that are failures; people that really have no success and after a period of denial are eventually forced to give up on their business and go do something else. This is not where you want to end up. Then, there are the people that are successful; they are able to parlay their business into something that earns them a nice five figure income that they are satisfied with and can live on. This is not such a bad place to be. And finally, there are the people that are enormously successful; these are the people you hear about all the time that become millionaires and are able to live a life that is the stuff of dreams because of the money that they have. This is the best! The question that most people will ask themselves in regards to this scenario has to do with the difference. Depending on the specific case, most people can figure out the difference between the first group and the latter two groups; it usually has to do with a lack of motivation, a lack of perseverance or the inability to deal with failure and just move onto something else. However, the difference between the second and third group is harder to figure out; after all, for the most part those two people start off the same and a lot of their home based business development is the same getting to the point of a five figure income. What, then, becomes the difference later on? Well, in the majority of these comparisons, the difference has to do with a lack of diversification on the part of a person that has the five figure income. If a person builds a business that makes then $75,000 a year, then they might realistically have no problems whatsoever with that income. This is because the person might have all their needs met in a nice way and not really want to try and increase their income. However, the person that goes on to eventually become a millionaire is not going to be satisfied with that amount. They will take as much money as they can spare and instead of spending it on a lifestyle enjoyed by a person with a $75,000 income, they will re-invest it. Either into another business or back into expanding the one they already have. This kind of person is not interested in living the lifestyle of a $75,000 income person; they want to make more money and have no problems living in less luxury now if it means they can live in more luxury later. A person like this has an income figure in their head from the start and keeps on working at it until they are making that income figure; usually through diversification.

With an affiliate home based business you can also enjoy the residual and passive income that comes with ongoing payment programs and marketing.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on SEO And The Content Between The Jingles · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Have you ever wondered why radio stations use jingles? A mini-song (jingle) is played several times each hour. Listeners can get to the place where they know that jingle by heart and can sing it even when the radio is off. The jingle is used going into a weather break or back into music. The jingle seems ever present on radio, but why? The reason many radio stations use the jingle is the same reason online business conforms to Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The more you tastefully use either the jingle for radio or keywords for your business website the more visibility you generate. If done correctly the keywords that you use in the totality of your content will be very apparent if the reader is looking for it, but undetectable to most readers. That means that the content is not ‘stuffed’ with keywords or key phrases. The content should flow very naturally without feeling as though you are tripping over the same words over and over again.

It’s the same way with radio jingles, they are audibly present, but should mesh well with everything else that is offered on the airwaves to allow the repeated message to be absorbed in an acceptable way. SEO can be a bit like picking the best keyword to brand your site and utilizing them to your advantage while making sure the overall content of your site is worthwhile to your site visitor. We’ve all logged into sites that either overdo the keywords or have content that is less satisfying than it would be if they would stick to the primary directive. Not only is it no fun to try to read from these sites it is also a key motivator in deciding not to return. One of the secrets to SEO keyword phrasing is to write an article that conveys a thought. Structure your descriptions and company data to help the reader clearly understand what you do, while the infusion of keywords takes a necessary second place. Yes, keywords are vitally important, but not at the expense of losing prospects just when you get them to visit your site. In a best-case scenario the reader should have no ‘first blush’ clue as to what your keyword or phrase is. They begin reading your content because they believe it will assist them in understanding the product or topic better. The information should be sound enough that the consumer leaves satisfied that they found quality information. This can be a thin line to walk, but it is important to give search engines the keywords they need to rank you without making your website something that attempts only to cater to search engines. Real people will be reading your site as well. Many businesses that try to stuff keywords into their content are often losers on two fronts. First they do not appeal well to consumers that will actually be the ones making the buying decisions. Secondly as search engines continue to refine and advance their methods of selection they will often detect ‘stuffing’ and penalize the site accordingly.

Keywords can help consumers and search engines connect with your site, but just like jingles on radio there is a need for quality content in between.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Most Home Based Businesses Are Setup So You Will Fail · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Many home based businesses will promise you the world. Many home based businesses are designed just to take your money. You will find all kinds of scam artists and con artists operating in this arena. All hope is not lost there are solid home based businesses out there. You will just have to sort through all of the mess out there. Building a business for yourself is still one of the best things you can use to achieve your financial goals in life. It’s just a lot of con artists have also made their way into this industry.

Many companies have a couple fundamental flaws which make it virtually impossible for the average person working from home to succeed. Many of these companies are setup just for the owners of the companies to succeed. The owners of certain companies have intentionally setup these sham businesses to take your money and run off into the night. Many of these companies are setup so you will fail. The owners of these businesses know full well what they are doing. Think about it, I have seen pay plans where you have to match legs, build legs of 7 and all kinds of sophisticated compensation plans which only benefit the owners of the company. Companies that have the compensation plans where you must match your legs are complete scams. Many people have enough trouble trying to build distributors as it is, then asking them to match the legs makes it nearly impossible for the average person to make any real income. A majority of these companies are based purely on recruiting. The more people you recruit the more money you make. Recruiting is the biggest sham out there. In order for you to be successful in the recruiting business you would have to recruit 20 to 50 people a week. You would need to go through hundreds of prospects a week, just to get 20 new signups a week. Many people are not capable of doing this. So let’s say you could build downlines of 20 to 50 new recruits a week. In order for you to continue to make money you would have to have a productive downline. If your downline is unproductive you aren’t making any residual income, it’s that simple. Building a downline takes a huge amount of work and recruiting. So how do you find a legitimate home based business? Simple sell products or services. That should be your main focus instead of focusing on recruiting distributors. Build a customer base. When you are selling a product or service people are just expecting to have their product or service fulfilled. They are not looking to make money, they just want to purchase your product. And as long as you have a solid product you will always have a solid income base. This is how you build a true home business, not by trying to recruit your friends and family into some pyramid scheme. Even if you are successful it is virtually impossible for everyone you recruit to make money. So you will have a bunch of unhappy recruits.

Let’s face it, the internet based business train has already left the station and no matter how fast you run, catching up with the big guys might become an extremely difficult task. You dream of launching a new product or website and reaching the top just like that? Hey, wake up! You will be fighting your way up against ruthless competition and well established internet gurus who already know the ebusiness game by hard. Given up already? No way! Let us show you how we managed to become e-tycoons. Regardless of the service or product being offered, the key to success is being the first (or at least be one of the first ten) to own the market. Primitive Internet times when everything was to be discovered are long way gone now. Maybe you think each and every subject and product has been explored and launched already. Well, let me tell you how WRONG you are! Have you ever thought on translating ideas, products, and even entire websites to another language? That is the path we followed and were finally able to reach a respectable amount of daily visitors and build a strong online community with our own translated web sites. We chose Spanish for our project, and focused on getting a Top100 Rank site and a Free Ads site up online and running as soon as possible, so as to be the first to get a front row seat on the Spanish speaking market. And guess what? No, we weren’t the first ones, but we did arrive – say – 4th. or 5th. place back on 2000 and that was more than good enough. If we choose to launch these sites in English nowadays we might have to face hundreds of similar sites with far more experience and visitors. Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese, French, German, and many more markets are waiting for you to plant the flag! The possibilities are nearly endless, so we suggest you pay a visit to any programing resources site, get a couple of scripts and start your translation. If you manage to translate these online programs, you surely have half the work done. What comes next? The usual webmaster/marketing work: promoting, adding content, and such… Some piece of advice prior to starting a new translating project: make a deep market research for competition before even lifting a finger. For instance, if you plan to launch a Link Exchange site in Spanish, you’ll have to search for «Intercambio de Enlaces» on Google and find out if the chosen subject is too crowded already. Do you get the picture? Take Mercadolibre.com for example, a huge auctions site targeted for the South American audience that humbly took Ebay as it’s role model. It is now considered the biggest Spanish based site in the world and managed to partner with Ebay itself.

Isn’t that inspiring?. Remember we are not focusing on the necessary steps to successfully launch a new web site or product. There are thousands of other how to reports about that issue and this not precisely one of them. We are just trying to open your eyes and make you see beyond the end of your nose: There’s a huge world out there and not everyone understands Shakespeare’s language. So if you can read and write in languages other than English, you may be missing a golden opportunity. Good luck, Bonne Chance, Buena Suerte, and Buona fortuna on your new translating campaign!

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Six Steps For Operating A Fixed Die Modular Comb Punch · Categories: Make Money

Fixed die modular binding punches are designed for users who have outgrown a combo binding machine but don’t need the ability to punch muliple hole patterns. These punches are designed for higher volumes of punching and for use with a stand alone finsher. Here are some simple directions for using a modular comb punch. Prior to punching your document, determine the number of holes required for the document (depends on the side of the document that is to be bound – 11″ edge requires 19 holes – 8 1/2″ edge requires 15 holes). 1. Deselect the Die Pins you do not want to punch by lifting the Selector Pin Lid and pulling the pins up. 2. Set the Depth-of-Punch Lever (on the left side of the punch) to either under or over 9/16″. This refers to the diameter of the comb element being used. Plastic binding is the only bind style that uses this measure, and its main purpose is to adjust the margin from the edge of the paper to the holes being punched so the element is properly filled. If the margin is punched too deep into the paper for a small element (i.e. 1/4″), the pages will not open or turn easily because there is not enough room inside the element. Conversely, if the margin is punched too shallow for a large document (i.e. 1/2″), the pages could tear out if the document was roughly handled or dropped. 3. Using a test lift of paper (or covers if using oversize covers), insert the sheets into the Punch Throat, moving them until they are flush against the Edge Guide and all the way into the bottom of the Punch Throat.

Hold the sheets in place with one hand. 4. To punch, press the Punch Button or Foot Pedal. 5. Now, take one sheet of the punched material and fold it in half to check for hole alignment. If it is squared you’re ready to continue punching the document. 6. When the punching is complete, remember to lift the front lid up, remove the chip tray, and trash the debris. Note: As mentioned earlier, Comb Binding frequently uses oversize covers. This simply means the covers are manufactured 11-1/4″ X 8-3/4″ (instead of 11″ x 8-1/2″), leaving an 1/8th inch margin at the top and bottom of the document and a 1/4″ excess margin on the unbound 11″ side of the document. This is to prevent dog-earing of the material contained within the covers of the document. It also makes the document look neater, as the pages do not stick out when the element moves in the punched holes. This does not happen with our other bind styles, as the holes are smaller, and there is less movement of the binding element. What this means to you, is that the Edge Guide must be reset to «center» the holes of the oversize cover. Follow the same steps for setting the Edge Guide and checking the setting that you just completed. If you were punching a number of documents using oversize covers, you would set the Edge Guide for the paper, punching all the paper – then set the Edge Guide for the covers and punch all the covers. Both Wire Binding and Coil Binding are set up using steps 1 through 5 – since the covers are flush cut with the paper (no oversize), there is no need to reset the Edge Guide.

Business is similar to baking and cooking. You have to identify the proper ingredients to make it taste good. In this case, good ingredients make it good for people to use and run. Satisfying these factors will surely put business on its feet and go places. There is no such thing as getting rich quick. Any business that offers you that is not being truthful with you. There are many opportunities to make money online. However none of them will happen overnight. They will all take some work and time on your part. There are jobs online that will allow you to make enough to sufficiently live off of but you will need to work at it. Working for a legitimate business making real money online can be a person’s dream come true. Whether you are a woman trying to find a way to stay home with her kids while they are growing up or a retiree who wants to supplement their retirement income, finding a way to make money online can be a real lifesaver. If you are good with math and numbers, it may seem logical to do your own bookkeeping. After all, your books are nothing more than an accurate depiction of the money that flows through your company. If your checkbook always balances to the penny, keeping your own books may be a good option for you. If you are still keeping your books manually, however, you may want to consider a software solution such as QuickBooks. It is easy to make a small error in data entry, and QuickBooks can help you spot such an error quickly. Additionally, the software can analyze data and generate reports, freeing up your valuable time. Software solutions are reasonably priced and will quickly pay for themselves in timesavings. Internet marketing is a tough business though. It is a very competitive field and even more competitive in certain niches. It may become discouraging after a lot of hard work has been put into an internet marketing business and the return is very little or nothing.

There are so many people on the internet and even more websites that those people are trying to get noticed that yours may get swallowed by the competition. It is difficult to get your website in front of that competition in order to make sales and begin profiting from your internet marketing business. It is very easy to say forget it and give up on your internet marketing goal. A person may think they should not bother because there is just too much to compete with. That is an easy way out but it will not make you any money. There is money to be made on the internet, you just have to go out and get it. More importantly, do not give up. It may take a while to get yourself noticed and ranked in the search engines but the end result will be worth it. Financial freedom, all while working in your own home and enjoying the things you love.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Effectively Using Overture/Yahoo To Get Website Visitors · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Jason Chew Overture or now known as Yahoo because of Yahoo’s takeover, was the original inventor of the use of the P4P or Pay for Performance. Overture saw that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most convenient way to shop, and advertising was going to hit at an all time high because of the many businesses in the arena. To get a person to go to a site than others, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to their site would allow them to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that can put a site or company’s ad in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted. Yahoo offers a chance for any company to increase their traffic by using their services. With more people being aware of your site, there would be more traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products.

With even a small percentage of successful sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial figure for your company. Getting a consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every company’s goal. Many methods are devised and utilized to ensure that there would be more people to boost the sales and to be aware of the existence of such a product or service. Website visitors are potentially the life blood of your internet based business. Yahoo/Overture utilizes the same principle as Google’s Adwords. In fact, they are very similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you will see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched. For example, Lets say you run a car parts retail/wholesale site. You choose keywords that can prompt or trigger your ads to be shown in the page when a keyword is searched. When a search engine user types in Honda Accord, your ad may come up if you have designated that as one of your keywords. You don’t need to fully optimize your site with Search Engine Optimization methods and techniques. While some labor so hard to make their site one of the high ranking sites per keyword search, you get the chance to be on the top of the list or at least in the first page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on.

With that, you drive traffic and website visitors to your site a lot faster.

You will have to pony up some cash when using this service though. There are different ways Yahoo/Overture will charge you. It may be in the number of Keywords or Keyword phrases your ad uses or in the many times your ad is clicked on. Others offer many other services like having your ad show up not only in the search engine pages but also with some third party sites. Third party sites support ads that have the same theme or niche as them. With more areas your ad is shown, you increase the chances of people knowing about your site or product. With more website visitors you increase the sales of your site which makes your investment with your ads a wise one. With so many competitions in the internet based businesses, it is necessary to take a huge leap forward from the pack by advertising. Yahoo/Overture will be a great place to start. Many have utilized their services and have reaped the rewards of this decision. It’s a marketing strategy that will increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting to profit. It takes money to make money, while there are some methods that are basically low cost or free, using a marketing service such as what Yahoo/Overture offers will provide results faster and on a larger scale. Many businesses have learned this the hard way, don’t be counted with them.

There is more to leadership than just position, and people with such titles have to work extra hard to really deserve such positions. There is an extra load on their shoulders and that is the weight of proving themselves efficient leaders. An effective leader has to prove himself worthy of the position. You must prove that you can lead, which means you have to go the extra mile, exert the extra effort, put in that extra hour. When in a position of leadership, it is no longer about time you clocked in or effort that went into your work; but the results you are able to achieve. You have to show you can get the job done, get the results needed, regardless of how. This drums up your credibility as an effective leader. A person without a goal is like a ship without a destination. You might wander aimlessly, going where the wind and tide will take you.

You have to take control and map our your destination in a clear goal. The best goals are formulated with the SMART principle. A great goal has to have these characteristics. S for specific, M for measurable, A for attainable, R for realistic and T for time-bound. Fear may be a weapon of choice wielded by some leaders, but this causes limitations in performance of the individual or team. You can only bring out the best in people when they are in an environment of mutual respect and not fear. A member of your team does what you tell them to, simply fearing a scolding or reprimand if they do not do as told, and they only produce so little. A member of your team who respects you will not only do what they are told, they may even surprise you by delivering more than what you expected of them. They are willing to work harder to achieve the team’s goals. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, but you do not want to go with the most inexpensive host you can find. If you site comes up quickly, presents itself well and you take your potential customer to exactly what they are looking for you will have a much higher chance for success. We will talk more about the importance of having the right keyword, landing page and affiliate programs on your site. It took me awhile to understand how much of a impact these seemingly small things can have on your conversion rate. Well that’s it for this time. For the same reason it is possible to open a shop in your town. People buy things, and the Internet has gained the needed popularity and trust of an every day consumer. In our century people will buy anything online; from the most useless items priced at $0.01 to beautiful mansions somewhere in Beverly Hills that goes for $5 M. About making a dishonest buck – well most scams and dishonest money making opportunities are often monitored and stopped in quick manners. Regular Internet users care and report «fishy» deals offers and businesses. Unfortunately there are still people who earn money online in dishonest manners – but these kinds of people exist in our every day life – not only the Internet. There are millions of very honest and legal ways to earn money on the internet.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on The Biggest Mistakes People Make In Growing Their Business · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

On Yom Kippur, Jews pray their way through several different catalogs of sins, asking for forgiveness for long lists of human failings. The mistakes I’m talking about here don’t necessarily have any spiritual significance, they simply have the capacity to stall or even shut down a business.

The following are ones I have personally seen in action; perhaps knowing about them can help you avoid their calamitous consequences. 1. Going after the trappings rather than the essence of business. In my one very mistaken attempt at a business partnership, a big source of friction was my partner’s delight in meetings that, to me, accomplished little or nothing. She equally couldn’t understand why I took no pleasure in sitting around a conference table going down an agenda of to-do’s that we’d already discussed. «Haven’t you always wanted to have a business?» she retorted once when I objected. We spent too much time on unproductive tasks. I’ve seen others devote so much fuss to their logo, office decor, computer setup or long-range strategy that they don’t have energy left over to deal with finding and keeping clients. Concentrate on core business tasks. 2. Relying too much on one client. You’re asking for trouble if more than 40% of your business comes from one source. Yes, it’s tempting to enjoy the easy pickings of a client who wants to use you more and more and more. However, I’ve had several clients show up at my door having to rebuild their businesses after their too-big client retrenched, refocused or decided it no longer suited them to use you. Foster your economic security by serving a variety of clients who couldn’t all go bust at once. 3. Not keeping an eye on the long term. For about a year and a half during the Internet boom, I had a lucrative contract with a dot-com company that tried to hire me full-time, offering to match whatever I was making on my own. I refused, because it would have meant ditching the momentum I’d built up on the Internet and elsewhere. I saw business owners give in to the siren call of «money now» and either as employee or entrepreneur place all their bets on a new venture that imploded within two years. Having sold off or let go of their previous successes, they had to start again from scratch. Forgoing some quick opportunities now for sustainability in the long run was a smart move, I believe. 4. Sticking with low-profit «sure things» for too long. When some activity reliably brings in business, it’s difficult to let it go, even when it takes much too much effort for its financial return. From 1988 to 2001, one-shot adult education seminars in Cambridge, Boston, Providence and elsewhere were a vital feeder for me, bringing me clients who needed help with their writing projects.

But each seminar meant driving through rush hour traffic, parking, getting home late, making less than $10 an hour when considering the total time spent, all to acquire clients who paid me much less than those who needed marketing help. I should have quit doing these seminars several years before I finally did and invested the energy elsewhere. At least once a year, think about what you’re doing, and drop activities that are not worth the time or hassle. 5. Ignoring collections. A friend who’d worked as a bookkeeper told me about a client of hers who had rarely sent out bills because it was boring to do so, compared with the everyday social dealings he enjoyed in his business.

No wonder he had a problem with cash flow! Judging from the number of very late bills I receive from solo business owners, this must be a common habit.

Understand that you’re not simply delaying payment when you neglect to bill in a timely manner and when you don’t aggressively and quickly go after non-payers. You’re actually jeopardizing your income, because the longer the time goes before someone is asked to pay for a service or product they received, the less likely you are to get that money at all. According to the American Collectors Association, once four months have gone by, you’re only about 80 percent likely to get paid. After six months, only 67 percent of collections ever get cleared. Send those bills out on time! 6. Getting discouraged. One of the most helpful books I’ve ever read is “Mastery” by George Leonard, a pioneer in the human potential movement and a teacher of aikido, a martial art. He explains the normal learning curve for any kind of human endeavor, whether learning a language, a musical instrument, a physical skill or the process of building a business. The normal learning curve includes a stage called «plateau,» where progress seems to cease and there may even be some backsliding, even though the effort put in stays the same. Yet the plateau stage is often followed by a sudden spurt forward, as long as the person keeps at it. Keeping at it in the absence of visible results does not sound like an important success skill, but often that’s the ingredient that separates those who make it from the quitters who give up right before their efforts are about to pay off.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Websites Cannot Survive Without Quality Referrals · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Traditional brink and mortar companies and website businesses have one thing in common; they cannot survive without customers and are constantly looking for ways to attract new business. Advertising is usually too broad to attract specific markets and target advertising can be exceptionally expensive, when the return on investment is calculated.

Some of the best advertising available is word of mouth referrals from friends, family and verifiable previous customers.

Looking through many websites that portend to offer excellent earnings in exchange for little work, there always seems to be testimonials from satisfied customers or those that also sell the product and claim to making tons of money as a participant in that particular business. With no way to contact many of these people for a first-hand account, their reliability is open to question and considering that many endorsements are either paid or non-existent, it is no wonder they are not taken seriously. When an individual tells a friend about a website or a business that has excellent customer service, a great product and a good price, there is a good chance that friend will become a customer. There is little doubt that referral is an honest representation of the company. Network marketing, one of the most popular business models on the internet, shares both the good and the bad and finding a business that can produce a work at home opportunity that pays honest money can be tough. However, they do exist and if a potential online worker can receive an honest referral to a specific opportunity, chances are they will take a chance. Affiliate marketing can also be considered as a referral service, provided the site on which the ads appear is offering something of value. A site that is nothing more than a series of advertisements may gain a few sales over time, but one that offers useful information along with advertising aimed at their visitors, can increase their business dramatically. Visitors head to the site for information and stay for the purchase. Promoting the site online through article marketing, offering people the chance to receive free information and having the ads there as a sidebar, is more attractive than blatant attempts at making sales.

Additionally, visitors who click on these ads are more likely to be interested in the products or services being offered, provided they relate to the information on the website. For example, if a website offers information about certain dog breeds where a visitor can all they want to know about the breed and sees advertising related to pet care, they are more likely to visit the advertiser’s site and make a purchase than they would be seeing an advertisement for gift baskets. Whether the website is commercial with the intention of making money or is a site for the family, placing a few ads on the site may seem like marketing to the family, but they might see something they like. Additionally, social networking sites are a great place to generate income from home while referring visitors to online businesses, especially those that focus on the interests of the social network community.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Product Creation And The Midnight Stroll · Categories: Reasons To Bless The Internet

Imagine being asked to climb a mountain.

You gaze at the snow-capped peak and you are excited to undertake the adventure. Your instructor tells you there is a reward for reaching the summit. This only fuels your desire to get on the trail. You gather all the supplies you will need for travel and you place the burden on your back as you prepare to take the first step in your journey. You grab your walking stick and begin to take a step. “Hold on,” your instructor says. “I forget to mention the most important part of this journey. You can only walk in the dark and the only light you can use is a flashlight. You will also walk alone.” What? This has to be the strangest journey you have ever considered, but there is that reward waiting at the top. So what do you do while you wait for darkness to descend? If you’re smart you work to burn into your mind what that mountain looks like and you try to pick out where you need to go on your way to getting your reward. You do this so that when darkness comes you still have a picture of the mountain even though the only thing you can see is the next step in front of you. Each step guides you closer to your reward, but the only clear picture you can rely on is the one that is burned into your mind from the valley below. This is a fairly accurate picture of what it is like to engage in product creation. The reward waiting is the actual product available for sale, but the only clear picture you have of the end result is a dream you believed in prior to the journey from thought to actual product. You can research all you want to help you see where to take the next step, but that step may lead to another location where more research is needed before taking another step forward.

This process is very much like trying to climb a mountain in the dark; you know where you want to go you just can’t see clearly how to get there.

Product creation is not for the faint of heart and it’s not for the weak of will because no matter how much research and work you put into the product the end result provides no assurances that the product will be a best seller. The reward may simply be in proving to yourself that you were strong enough to follow through with something enormously difficult and at the conclusion you tangibly held what had once been a dream. For most this moment opens doors that are more important long-term than our ability to engage in product creation because this act says a lot about our ability, tenacity and follow through. After all, anyone can have a dream, but very few do something about it. If you are in the midst of product creation you have undertaken a noble endeavor and one that perhaps only you were destined to accomplish.

08. April 2012 · Comments Off on Paid Surveys Minus An Emotional Investment · Categories: Your Hopes And Dreams

Ben is a guy that uses his voice as a tool. He has clients around the world that will pay him to use his voice for audio advertising, podcasts or even to read books. Needless to say, Ben keeps pretty busy. There are times though when things slow down a bit and Ben has to work at finding new clients. So, in the grand spirit of marketing he seeks places where he can let others know about what he does. He pays to be included in some voice over services, but he has also been known to provide some work free of charge for prospective customers. He recently came across a site that was based in another country far removed from his native America. He signed up for the site, left his profile and placed audio samples for others to consider. He hadn’t expected much, but then the government of Romania came calling asking if he could help them with a project designed to assist them in educating the public about certain business opportunities that existed.

The point is the work was unexpected. When Ben put his profile up he did not have any reasonable expectation that he would ever hear from anyone. He did not place his hopes on the site and he did not spend time refreshing his email in hopes that someone would come calling. He simply went back to work. This is the picture associated with paid surveys. It certainly can’t hurt to fill out another profile on a paid survey site, but never allow that simple act to divert your attention away from life or the pursuits you may already have in place. Paid surveys are offered at the discretion of someone looking for a very specific profile. Like Ben you never know who will be coming across a profile and want to make contact. No one that I am aware of is making a living from paid surveys except perhaps those who are conducting them. Should you be fortunate enough to receive the offer of a paid survey rejoice in your good fortune, but refuse to consider paid surveys as a viable source of alternate family income. Too many good people have invested time and even finances in some cases trying to locate this proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow only to come to the conclusion that it is an elusive dream. There are multiple opportunities for finances through participation in affiliate revenue programs of by offering services you are skilled at in the arena of freelance work, but paid surveys should not be listed in your top ten ways to make extra income. In most cases it just won’t happen that way. Like Ben with his audio work it can’t hurt to submit a profile, but you should never allow yourself to get overly invested on an emotional level with something that can never be listed as a ‘sure thing’. When and if a paid survey is offered you can enjoy a little extra income and the satisfaction that you were allowed to give your opinion, but never let the potential keep you from other more worthy pursuits.
